SNL tribute and Star Trek Online vigils honor Patrick Stewart

Star Trek Online players are holding public vigils to mourn Patrick Stewart www.pcgamer.com/games/mmo/st...

My son has just sent me this, from Star Trek Online. Genuinely teared me up a bit.

I had never seen this commercial but this is a very funny anecdote about Sir Patrick Stewart: youtube.com/shorts/YMmz2...

"Star Trek Online might not be topping charts in 2026, but it can offer its players a place to come together and mourn the man who brought their captain to life."

What has the European Convention on Human Rights ever done for us? This should be compulsory viewing for Reform UK Ltd. One final tribute from me to Sir Patrick... youtu.be/ptfmAY6M6aA?...

I love GREEN ROOM, I love Sir Patrick Stewart, and I love this story. "If Sir Patrick Stewart wants to utter a four-letter word, YOU LET HIM." Also love (and miss) Anton Yelchin, whose performance was flawless. Me (old punk) + a friend (old metalhead) saw this in an empty theater and had a blast.

I'm going to try to write something here about Sir Patrick Stewart, because I have been holding back. Why? Because as I briefly stated before, I can't put it into text. It is important that it is known how very much he means to me, how much I miss him, and how much I owe him.

it is really grim to see people making deep fakes of Patrick Stewart's real life friends (Ian McKellen, Judi Dench) reacting to his death for clicks

I've been struggling to think of how to pay respects to Sir Patrick Stewart. I cannot find the words and I don't really have any personal anecdotes. I remembered that supposedly before they settled on Enterprise-G, the plan for PIC season 3 was to rechristen the Titan USS Picard, so... Farewell 🖖

Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier paid tribute to Patrick Stewart ahead of a Los Angeles screening of the film on Friday, recalling how the sci-fi icon “just swooped down, nosedived into our cruddy ass movie and saved us.”

A sad double #InMemoriam from #VoiceoverWednesday as Trek Fans got a two-hit gut punch this week. Walter Koenig didn't have many voice roles compared to other Trek alums, and many were as himself or Checkov or himself *as* Checkov, but the ones he had were memorable. Steady as she goes, Sir!

How the FUCK did we lose Tim Curry, Anthony Head, and Sir Patrick Stewart in the same year.

We would like to do this small tribute to Sir Patrick Stewart who we lost this week. We love you and will miss you. Prayers to your friends and family Star Trek: The Next Generation #paws4music @candyliggett2024.bsky.social youtu.be/5HxiUFq7NHI?...

The outpouring of love and respect for Patrick Stewart has truly got to stop at some point. I'm getting dehydrated from tearing up over how heartfelt the loss is for so many people, famous or not famous.

Sir Patrick Stewart has left us for the undiscovered country. I know no better way to celebrate his prodigious talent and boundless heart than to look back at his Shakespearean roots. Farewell, captain. www.patreon.com/ChristianMal...
