Bobby Moynihan revived his Drunk Uncle Weekend Update bit on SNL's Halloween show and framed the character as a Milwaukee Brewers fan. Players Pat Murphy, Christian Yelich, and Brice Turang appeared with Drunk Uncle, and the sketch treated the Brewers' World Series win as a point of boozy celebration. During the segment Pat quipped, "we've also been drinking since Wednesday," which viewers repeated on social platforms. Fans praised the surprise reunion, calling it one of the funniest Weekend Update bits in recent episodes and noting that the appearance made Drunk Uncle officially tied to Wisconsin and the Brewers.
