San Francisco will hold a violet-themed victory parade along the waterfront on Wednesday to celebrate the Golden State Valkyries winning the 2026 WNBA championship. The Valkyries clinched the title with a 68-63 Game 7 win over the Atlanta Dream at Chase Center on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026. Gabby Williams led Golden State with 30 points, 28 of them in the second half, and was named Finals MVP. The Valkyries erased a nine-point deficit in the second half and outscored Atlanta by seven points in the third quarter to pull away. The title is the franchise’s first and comes in just the team’s second season as an expansion club. Violet jerseys and purple city lighting have become a visible part of Bay Area celebrations, and the parade will center those team colors along the waterfront Wednesday. The event will formally cap a postseason in which Golden State completed a 4-3 Finals series and handed Atlanta its Game 7 loss after a deep playoff run.
