The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake arrives as a Switch 2 launch title and Nintendo Music quietly added seven to eight tracks from its special release ahead of the game's debut. Posts name the Hyrule Field Main Theme as one of the newly available tracks and highlight an orchestral take that listeners describe as exactly how they heard it in their heads. Creators in the community are celebrating with new cover art for the remake’s celebration EP and pointing to Nintendo Japan publishing official ocarina sheet music, while playthrough posts note moments like visiting the Deku Tree and reactions to Navi’s English voice.

Digital art created for an album of music by H808 Mafia to celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake coming for the Nintendo Switch 2. The master sword, Hylian shield, and titular Ocarina of Time rest on a stump in the middle of a forest glade under direct beams of warm sunlight, surrounded by moss and small pools of reflective water. A snippet from an Ask the Developer about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2 reads: “Ohashi: That’s right. We also gave a lot of thought to how we could convey the emotion and nostalgia of the original game. In fact, some pieces combine a live full orchestra with sounds from the original Nintendo 64 version. Wait, the music incorporates sounds from the Nintendo 64 version? Ohashi: We didn’t use the audio output from Nintendo 64 as is. Instead, we used the original Nintendo 64 sound source as a reference to faithfully recreate some of the sounds. We wanted to do something only Nintendo could as a way of bringing back memories of that time. Fujibayashi: Take the music inside Link's house, for example. You do a double take when the sounds you remember from back in the day enter the mix”
