Ocarina of Time remake launches

OOT remake is so interesting. A ton of the original staff are still at the company and contributing/advising, and yet it's the director's (HokWai Ng) first time in the role and much of the staff reportedly hadn't played the original. Only Nintendo has the opportunity to make something like this

With the OoT Remake being so praised I really really really really really really need a Majora's Mask remake that gets real weird and visceral with it. Give me those jerky animations and that colour palette made of bruises in glorious HD freakiness

I am sort of grateful that the OoT remake is happening, as the switchh in my brain has finally flipped toward being hostile to the entire concept of remakes The Black Flag remake that quietly removed all the shit poking fun at Ubisoft as a soulless megacorp, almost got me there tho

there's a lot of hubbub about the ocarina of time remake character designs but making the fairies just a big fuzzy orb is really good. like no that glowy ball was not an abstraction of a little Tinkerbell girl this is just a glowing furry orb with wings.

The Ocarina of Time remake is incredible, I'm almost at Forest Temple. But holy moly this remake is the dream. THEY HAVE TO GO BACK TO THIS FORMULA!

My favourite game of all time has got to be Majora’s Mask on Nintendo 64. I love the interactions. I love that there’s still little secrets about it that I find out 26 years later. I am hopeful that we’ll get a remake for this like the OoT remake; I need to see Tingle in all his glory.
