Eileen Laubacher widens lead over Lauren Boebert in Colorado 4th

politicsNov 5, 2026483,327

Democrat Eileen Laubacher leads Republican incumbent Lauren Boebert 184,059 (48.8%) to 180,782 (47.9%), a margin of about 3,277 votes with well over 95 percent of ballots reported. The AP reported Laubacher up 3,266 votes with an estimated 97 percent counted. Election analysts and campaign trackers say Boebert would need roughly 61.9 percent of the remaining ballots to overcome that gap, an unusually large share for outstanding ballots. The last sizable drop of Douglas County ballots favored Laubacher, a net gain of about 576 votes and her best Douglas County batch since election night. Laubacher is a retired two-star U.S. Navy rear admiral who served on the National Security Council; if her lead holds she would flip Colorado’s 4th District, a seat Trump carried by about 18 points in 2024. Boebert’s campaign has signaled it is reviewing voting patterns, while outlets continue to treat the race as too close to call until the remaining ballots are counted.

NEW: Last large ballot drop we expect is brutal for GOP Rep Lauren Boebert. 6400 DougCo ballots break +9 for Dem Eileen Laubacher (her best DougCo batch since election night). Adds 576 votes to her 0.87% lead - now up to 3266 votes. Every lean Boebert county is past its '22 total
