The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launches on Switch 2
I see people comparing what bugs/exploits/etc are missing in the ocarina of time remake but… it’s a remake… literally none of it will be there
I think this is a solid reason why it does actually matter to use “remake” (new visuals and code base) and “remaster” (mostly new visuals only) correctly lol
While true, I gotta say some of the best stuff in FF7 Remake games is when they reference the old bugs The fact that in the PS1 JP version they forgot to remove a weird beta testing enemy that just begs to be killed in one area, and in the remake they turn it into a real enemy, is so cool
Are people just latching onto the fact OOT3D did this? It is basically a juiced up version of the N64 one, unlike the NS2 one
otoh, i'm pretty sure it's the botw engine underneath, right? so we might still get some of these bugs
It amused me that some of the Old Ways still work--being able to put a deku stick away before it burns to save it after using it to light a torch is one. I'm loving it.
While the Ocarina of Time Remake eludes me till I can get a Switch 2, I did get my hands on Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered. Never played the original, but I'll be honest...this is fun as hell. A tournament fighter with big monsters destroying shit. Me likey.
Also, maybe it's cuz I know this game from AVGN's Godzilla Games video, but the announcer going "MONSTERS, FIGHT!" is super iconic to me.
This game legit makes me wanna put on Blue Oyster's Godzilla song as I fight these kaijus (or the awesome Serj Tankian cover from KotM).
I spent like 5 hours tonight in it.
