Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, Radar Indicates 60 mph Winds and Large Hail

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect across parts of southwestern Oklahoma, including Caddo, Kiowa and Washita counties. The National Weather Service in Norman issued radar-indicated reports of 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to 1.75 inches, and noted a possible tornado with a considerable damage threat. Some warnings extend into the evening, with expirations as late as 8:30 PM CDT. Residents should move to an interior room on the lowest floor, and protect vehicles and windows.
