And that's why I do not consider many of the people who attended the WHCA dinner as journalists. They are probably media personalities, yes, but they have done nothing to push back against the far-right propaganda machine from inside and outside of the White House

How people react to a sudden trauma is something we should all extend some grace about. But the decision to attend the WHCA dinner despite Trump’s relentless attacks on the first amendment was one journalists had ample time to consider, and those who attended nevertheless chose very poorly.
