Lib Dems call to ban MPs accepting payments from X

Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey called for a ban on MPs accepting payments from X, saying Elon Musk funnels far-right MAGA ideas into the UK and that Reform UK acts as a 'MAGA franchise'. Davey pointed to Nigel Farage's register showing more than £12,000 in recent payments from X as evidence of the issue. The Lib Dems said the ban would be part of a wider crackdown to stop foreign and platform amplified political influence over MPs and to protect UK democracy.

The Lib Dem’s are very much onside with Ed Davey personally invested. I’ve not seen the Greens particularly either way, which is surprising. Of course Reform and Tories are horrible bastards. Labour has just been a huge disappointment, promising “change” but obviously not in this issue 🙄
