gamingApr 30, 20261497

ROG released a firmware and software update for the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X that adds docking improvements, a Collective Library, enhanced vibration, and other quality-of-life fixes. Microsoft’s Auto Super Resolution, the company’s DLSS competitor, is available as a preview on the Ally X today for Xbox Insiders, providing upscaling that boosts frame rates and visual quality in supported PC games. The docking fixes and related tweaks target smoother transitions between handheld and docked modes and improved controller behavior while docked. These changes bring PC-style upscaling and more reliable docked play to the Ally line, making the handheld more practical for longer sessions and closer to console-class performance.
