Kemi Badenoch criticised for using Bloody Sunday footage

Kemi Badenoch posted a Conservative Party video praising British Army veterans that included archival footage from the 1972 Bloody Sunday killings in Derry, Northern Ireland. The footage appeared in a clip opposing reforms to the Legacy Act, and the Conservative Party said it removed the video as soon as it was made aware. SDLP MP Bairbre Holmes and relatives of Bloody Sunday victims called the use "disgusting" and "disgraceful", saying the soldiers' footage of unarmed civilians reopens painful wounds and complicates debate over how to handle legacy cases from the Troubles.
