Final Fantasy XI free trial appears on Square Enix store
Square Enix listed "FINAL FANTASY® XI: Free Trial - Digital" on its official online store, offering a downloadable free trial of Final Fantasy XI. The store page presents the trial as a digital product distributed directly by Square Enix instead of through third-party retailers. The listing gives new and returning players an immediate, low-friction way to access the two-decade-old MMO and its live servers and events.
The Final Fantasy fandom wiki is a unique level of hell, because it's like eighteen fanbases that only occasionally overlap all trying to do their own thing, which leads to wildly different levels of quality between pages. It's the best resource for FFV knowledge! And actively detrimental to FFXIV.
What got me today was that I was looking for FFV screenshots and had to deal with the fact that a lot of the FFV ones haven't been updated to the PR yet and are STILL on the mobile version. 😭 That said yeah that was INVALUABLE when I was doing my first playthrough.
for FFVI there's other resources that are usually better or on par but the fandom wiki has every single enemy's full AI script written out and nowhere else I can find does
It sucks because the other wikis for FFXIV seem dedicated for discussing gameplay, and care little, if at all, for lore. If I want to look up who a guy actually is or does, Console Games Wiki will leave me hanging. I basically HAVE to go to the fandom wiki for any information on them at all.
