Iran says two missiles struck US warship near Jask
Iran’s Fars News Agency and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said two missiles struck a U.S. Navy vessel near Jask island just outside the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC said the warship ignored warnings to halt before the strikes and framed the action as a response to President Donald Trump’s announcement of "Project Freedom" to guide stranded ships out of the Strait. The U.S. Navy has not publicly confirmed damage or casualties and Washington has not announced an immediate military response. If verified, strikes on a U.S. warship in the Strait of Hormuz would risk rapid escalation between the United States and Iran and could disrupt global oil and commercial shipping through the chokepoint.
Iran claims two missiles hit a US warship near Jask Island after it ignored Iranian warnings, the IRGC-affiliated Fars News reports. The US denies the claim. Unfortunately it’s no longer possible to believe either side.
Trump caused the closure of the Strait of Hormuz resulting in ruinous gas price rises and global food shortages so it’s hysterical to watch him and Bessent frantically scrambling to claim the opening of the strait is an humanitarian effort. A humanitarian wouldn’t have started the war.
Iranian drones have hit a South Korean vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Federation of Korean Seafarers Union.
"It's a friendly blockade....The war is terminated." 🤡
At least we know Iran has no interest in manipulating the markets.
Indeed. Especially with all the market manipulation going on.
I'm more likely to believe the iranians than my own administration at this point
My money’s on two direct hits.
Tragically the Iranians are marginally the more reliable source.
Well, #Trump lies 99% of the time & the Iranian spokesmen perhaps 15%? So if #Trump says A & #Iran says -A, I’m usually inclined to believe the Iranians. Especially since Trump’s lies are openly false or easily refuted.
Kind of like how the presumption of regularity in the federal courts has effectively been voided. Great job, everyone. A+.
We have always been at war with Eastasia.
IRAN'S FARS NEWS AGENCY REPORTS THAT TWO MISSILES STRUCK A U.S. WARSHIP NEAR JASK ISLAND AFTER IT DISREGARDED WARNINGS FROM IRAN. THE AGENCY ALSO STATES THAT THE U.S. WARSHIP RETREATED FROM THE LOCATION.
Feel like it's a good time to remind people that he started this war to avoid accountability for being in the Epstein files.
Kind of the point of the “escorts.” Trump wants some “suckers & losers” to die so he can get his war of distraction on, get enough pansy-assed politicians to vote in favor of it, and pull in enough Americans that his poll numbers go up.
Remember the Republican trope about Democrats making the military weaker? Projection at its best
