Researchers found prescriptions for ivermectin among some U.S. cancer patients spiked after Joe Rogan hosted actor Mel Gibson discussing antiparasitic treatments on his podcast. Clinics reported patients requesting veterinary-grade or human ivermectin to treat cancers despite there being no clinical trials proving ivermectin-benzimidazole combinations are safe or effective for cancer.
