Companies balked at sponsoring Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s road trip

politicsMay 16, 2026161,196

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy privately pitched a months-long, reality-style road trip and at least one potential sponsor refused to back the tour over access concerns. A travel company raised legal red flags and the would-be sponsor feared corporate funding would look like corporations buying access to a cabinet secretary, so it declined to participate. Democratic lawmakers, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren, called for further examination and said public officials should not ask industry players to finance their travel, framing the matter as an ethics concern that could invite oversight.

Sean Duffy's corruption is palpable. Boeing and Toyota donated $1 million each to help fund a new reality-television inspired show starring Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy with his family on a road trip. Others contributed services and goods. All are regulated by Duffy.

So Sean Duffy got a kickback while on the job as transportation secretary to fund a joy ride for him and his family around the country. In what shithole country would this be considered acceptable?

Why aren’t bribes called bribes anymore?

BonBon🤌9

And we paid his salary while he took a 7 month vacation.

This will end me buying Toyota.

Go Ask Alice7

No consequences. He should have already resigned and be facing charges

So #Duffy got PAID by the companies he is supposed to regulate while taxpayers PAID his salary for the job he was absent from for SEVEN MONTHS? #MAGAt voters are the dumbest fucks.

Yet, we (the taxpayers) are paying him to do a job. We're NOT paying him to make a reality tv show. This administration is worried about "fraud, waste & abuse"?? They should be looking at Cheetolini, Duffy, Hegseth, Patel, etc.

"Donated"-? Is that what that is called? Even if it was a purely commercial transaction for a normal show, no one would use that word. "Invested?" "Sponsored with"-?

president was a d-lister reality show star. Makes sense his government would be encouraged too join the circus.

See the expression on wife's face? That's a look of entitled privilege if I ever saw one!

A Ghost In the Shell3

Palpable? It’s naked in the daylight! When are we going to hold these rich, entitled, grifting fucks accountable!?

Booo! Shame, shame! They're catering to an audience of millionaires. Something's got to give.

It’s ok his wife said he’s a very honest person. Is there anyone working for this administration who isn’t ripping off us taxpayers or accepting bribes from private corporations?
