Zeteo roundup: Israeli forces kill children on Nakba Day, settlers force family to exhume father

On Nakba Day Israeli forces killed additional Palestinian children during raids in Gaza and the West Bank, and in the Jenin refugee camp the army fatally shot 34-year-old Nour al-Din Kamal Hassan Fayyad while saying he tried to enter a restricted area. Israeli settlers in the West Bank forced a family to exhume the body of their dead father during a raid on their village. The Committee to Protect Journalists reports most journalist deaths in 2025 occurred in Gaza, the West Bank, southern Lebanon, Yemen and Iran, and that Israeli forces were responsible for about two-thirds of global journalist killings last year, underscoring rising civilian and press casualties in the conflict.
