The Mandalorian and Grogu opens in theaters May 22, and director Jon Favreau says he realized Grogu had become a "phenomenon" while attending the Los Angeles premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on May 14. Promotional stunts have already rolled out, including Pedro Pascal dressing as the Mandalorian to surprise visitors at Disneyland and Epic Games arranging a Fortnite Watch Party Island that will let players view portions of the film early for free.
