Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party won 49.81% of the vote in Armenia's parliamentary election, securing a clear plurality. The pro-Russian Strong Armenia bloc finished with about 23.29%, and preliminary projections give Civil Contract roughly 61 seats, about 58% of the new National Assembly. The victory comes despite pressure from Moscow, with Russian President Vladimir Putin warning Armenia of a "Ukrainian scenario" before the vote. Pashinyan said he will pursue closer ties with the European Union while keeping Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union, a stance that will shape Armenia's foreign policy direction.
