WWDC, Apple overhauls Screen Time and child‑safety tools
At WWDC, Apple unveiled a redesigned Screen Time with expanded parental controls and new child-safety tools. Apple added Apple Intelligence support for Home cameras to deliver event alerts and on-device summaries for footage. The company also introduced systemwide dictation and broad Siri AI enhancements, while confirming certain AI features will not be available in the European Union. These updates give parents centralized, AI-assisted device oversight and highlight differences in regional availability and privacy implications.
#wwdc seems like a good time to remind everyone I have an iOS app that allows you to do atproto actions via shortcuts 👀. It's an easy way to do some no code automation with iOS shortcuts to learn more about atprotocol apps.apple.com/us/app/at-to...
This would probably be a good week to polish up the next update with constellation and XRPC actions and finally get it out the door as well
wait you’re telling me i was doing this manually for nothing ???
omg fuckin sold! I’ve thought for so long this would be so good to have
“our goal with bringing AI into Photos is to help photographers” yeah no #WWDC26
“to help you experience the world in extraordinary new ways” this is not an experience. this is not creativity.
RIP to “the best camera is the one you have with you” 1826-2026
I hope there is still a global off switch for this shit. I’m glad none of my digital Nikons have any AI garbage but I may need to join y’all on the film side of things sooner rather than later.
