Disclosure Day, Spielberg's new summer film

I’ve been thinking nonstop about #DisclosureDay since I saw it last night. Always a very good sign.

Fired this up in preparation for Disclosure Day and it hit me...I haven't seen Close Encounters in maybe 45 years. Glad now that I haven't, it's completely fresh to me. Y'all, it is so good!

One of the many things I love about Disclosure Day is that it's a complete refutation of the idea that there are two Steven Spielbergs, one the man who pleases the summer-blockbuster give-me-back-my-childhood fans, the other the Oscar guy. This is as personal a movie in its way as The Fabelmans.

From its opening moments Disclosure Day reminds you that nobody can instantly put you in the middle of a story like Steven Spielberg. Flick is fun, moves quickly, isn’t afraid to be weird, and has some logic issues I’m still grappling with, but ultimately an easy recommend.
