Cars marks 20th anniversary

Pixar's Cars marks its 20th anniversary with retrospectives, rewatch sessions, and an official theatrical rerelease scheduled for September. Creators are posting illustrations, doodles, short comics, soundtrack tributes, and live watch sessions focused on Radiator Springs and its set pieces. Much of the new work centers on Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Doc Hudson, often recreating the town's main street, the climactic race, or Doc's garage scenes. Several contributors share personal retrospectives about growing up with the film and tributes to the original soundtrack, including Life Is a Highway.
