Hi @sarahowen.org.uk. My mum died from cancer at 66. Her mum died from breast cancer at a similar age. Please ask the chair of the EHRC in today’s Women and Equalities Committee why their code of practice gives me no right to breast cancer screenings.
Shiraz Turvey 🏳️⚧️15Both of my parents had mastectomies, I told the local mammography unit about this immediately after transitioning and they agreed I was high risk. Three years later I'm waiting (overdue) for my next mammogram. I'm still high risk, and I still have those emails.
Jadey Character2Jesus. At least in Canada, even if your health marker is "wrong", you can still get them by referral every two years, every one if they find something, though it often means they'll do a supplementary ultrasound because it's not considered "routine". What the fudge is wrong with the UK?
