Nancy Mace loses South Carolina GOP primary; Evette and Wilson advance to runoff

Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette and Attorney General Alan Wilson advanced to a June Republican runoff for South Carolina governor, while U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace finished fifth and failed to advance. No candidate won a majority in the crowded GOP primary, triggering the head-to-head June runoff under state election rules. Mace lost ground after a string of scandals and her break with President Donald Trump over pushing for release of Jeffrey Epstein files. The runoff will pit two statewide officials against each other to decide the GOP nominee in a deeply Republican state and shape the November contest.

While primary voters were busy, Mike Johnson got the GOP to pass the $70 billion Funding package for ICE so Trump can continue his raids for the rest of his term. Meanwhile Trump was ordering more strikes on Iran and calling it “Self-defense” after Iran fired on a US helicopter gunship yesterday.

Graham Plather, a scandal plagued oyster fisherman, won Maine's primary and will face Republican Susan Collins for the Senate seat.
Meanwhile anti-trans candidate Nancy Mace lost her primary, and the California Governers race will be between fox commetator Steve Hilton and Democrat Xavier Becerra.

NASA named the crew for Artemis III to test the docking of Orion and the Blue Origin lander. The all male crew is commander Randy Bresnik, mission specialists Andre Douglas and Frank Rubio, and pilot and European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano. This mission will be done in low earth orbit, with later missions taking the equipment to the moon.
