Cruise missile hits VNIIR‑Progress plant in Cheboksary
Ukrainian FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles struck the VNIIR-Progress military electronics plant in Cheboksary, roughly 950 to 1,000 kilometers inside Russia, igniting large fires. The plant manufactures GNSS navigation modules used in Shahed drones, Kalibr cruise missiles and UMPK glide bombs, and black smoke rose after the impacts. This was the second strike on VNIIR-Progress within 48 hours, demonstrating that Ukrainian long-range strikes can reach deep into Russia and disrupt weapons-component production.

Russian jets should be very capable of shooting them down, like F-16's do in Ukraine, but somehow they are not doing it. Could it be that they fail to pick them up on radar and cannot scramble jets on time?
