Report says Israel has killed Lebanon’s medics at unprecedented rate

Zeteo reports that Israeli strikes have killed more than 130 Lebanese paramedics since March. Zeteo interviewed colleagues and families who say many of the medics were unarmed and working on ambulances or in hospitals when struck. The deaths have occurred amid the Israel-Hezbollah fighting in Lebanon and have sharply reduced emergency response capacity, leaving hospitals and ambulances short-staffed. Attacks on medical personnel raise serious concerns about violations of international humanitarian law and worsen civilian suffering by undermining care.
