A diplomat involved in US-Iran peace talks says Israeli strikes on Beirut, Lebanon, today have created issues with finalizing a deal, per Fox News. The diplomat says the strikes are an attempt to "sabotage President Trump's deal and drag the US back into war."

"The U.S. will waive oil sanctions on Iran for a specified period, allowing Tehran to sell oil... The ‌U.S. ⁠agrees to release $25 billion of Iran’s frozen assets, including via direct cash transfers... Pending a final agreement, Iran would maintain the current status of its nuclear programme"

On ABC News, US President Barack Obama said a new agreement with Iran was unlikely to improve significantly on the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA.

Most likely Iran's version of the deal says that the US does something before Iran opens the strait. A problem that has dogged these negotiations since the ceasefire agreement is that Iran and the United States appear to have different versions of every deal they've agreed to.

This is likely the end of Netanyahu as Israel’s PM. Israel effectively becomes a US state whose foreign policy is controlled by Trump. Trump is giving Iran a better deal than Obama’s JCPA in return for an open Strait. Even Republicans have a hard time with that And Iran still hasn’t agreed yet lol
