Toy Story 5 praised for nuanced take on tech and emotional beats
God I wish airports had movie theaters in them. I wanna see Toy Story 5.
Oh my gosh could you imagine how big of a boom the movie theater industry would get if they just put movie theaters in airports? Gotta wait a few hours for a connecting flight? Go watch a movie!
That would actually not be a bad idea for long layovers.
I thought that said armpits and got really confused for half a second 😭
Bring back inflight movies… 😤
Watched Toy Story 5. A film about screen time being bad for kids. Half the parents spent it scrolling while the movie did the parenting. You couldn't write it.
There were /several/ people on their phones in the theatre?!
Loved it though. Brought me to tears.
I see a lot of movies, including Pixar and other animated, "kids" films. I see many parents checking out and paying no attention to the film. It's too bad. They don't realize there are jokes and plot points for them, too. There's no kid who would ever get the DMV/sloth joke in Zootopia.
As a former teacher I can tell you there seem to be more screens raising children than there are parents these days. Going to catch up sooner rather than later.
But isn’t watching a movie screen time?
