Egypt rallies to beat New Zealand after Finn Surman opener

Finn Surman put New Zealand ahead with a 15th-minute header at Vancouver's BC Place. Mohamed Salah equalized and Mostafa Zico then scored the go-ahead goal, giving Egypt a 2-1 victory. The comeback gives Egypt three group-stage points and denies New Zealand an early World Cup upset.

Next #NZLvsEGY! Evidence shows that Aotearoa was first settled 1250–1300, in Maori oral history the islands were discovered by Kupe the Explorer c750. Early medieval Egypt was first Byzantine, then Sasanian in 618; but the governor, Shahralanyozan defected. Egypt fell to the Rashiduns in 642.
