A draft resolution obtained by the Guardian says the UN‑backed Board of Peace, created under Donald Trump to administer Gaza, would grant its officials, contractors and security forces broad legal immunity for actions taken in Gaza. The draft's final section, titled "Premises of the Board of Peace, OHR, and ISF," also says the board "shall be provided, free of charge, public premises and facilities needed for the accomplishment of the missions in Gaza," and would allow organizations to obtain public property in Gaza without charge. The draft leaves unclear how Board officials, soldiers and contractors would be held accountable if the resolution enters into force, according to reporting. The Guardian's coverage was filed by Cate Brown and Aram Roston; other reporting and posts name figures said to serve on the board, including Jared Kushner and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. One post says the UN Security Council authorized the Board to oversee Gaza until December 31, 2027. If adopted as written, the resolution would create a UN‑sanctioned administration with sweeping immunity and control over public property in Gaza, raising immediate questions about legal accountability and property rights.
