One year on, critics say Trump's 'Big, Ugly Bill' is harming workers
Tom Kean had insurance to help him with his treatment. He voted FOR the big ugly bill, which takes away health subsidies for many vulnerable Americans who are in the same circumstance as Kean. #DemVoice1 #ProudBlue #Pinks #RepublicansAreDestroyingAmerica www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
There’s more to this story than meets the eye. 4 months is an awfully long time! Something doesn’t add up to me. Also shouldn’t he have told his Constituents why he was MIA?
What made him depressed? The fact he, his hero, and party are fucking over the American people? He's not getting enough in kickbacks for screwing over the American people? Why was he seeking medical treatment and meds, he should have been toiling on a farm as RFK, Jr. says! Hypocrite!
Not to mention that he had the strength to facilitate 190000$ worth if transactions WHILE he was in treatment.
If I was a republican I'd be severely depressed as well. Just leave the party.
A private citizen would be fired if he walked off the job for 4 months with no communication with his employer. Federal law allows 12 weeks unpaid leave for a serious illness, but notice and medical documentation are required. #Kean still has a job for one reason, those laws don't apply to him.
I hate republicans who get their share and then some but refuse to allow others the same opportunities
The congressman who went missing for four months without any public notice, someone who was hospitalized for depression and couldn't do his job (but still had time to make stock trades) is still a toss-up to win his election. That sums our current politics better than anything else ever could.
LOOOLLLLL when I had a breakdown in Portland, I had to file for long term disability & got denied twice because my work kept submitting it wrong. I had out of pocket insurance costs. I was sure I would end up losing my job, and the LTD payout was SMALL. MUST BE GODDAMN NICE to have the time/money.
Support Rebecca Bennet and get this loser out of Congress! rebeccabennettforcongress.com newjerseymonitor.com/2026/06/02/r...
He also has a job that allows him to disappear and not do the work for which he was hired while still collecting a full pay check and without the threat of being fired, for months at a time... Must be nice.
One year after the GOP passed the One Big UGLY Bill, the results are in: • 800,000 kids lost SNAP benefits. • 5M lost health coverage. • 1,000+ hospitals, clinics, nursing homes face cuts or closure. • Health care premiums doubled for millions. That's what they're celebrating.
Meanwhile American taxpayers are funding free healthcare for Israelis while people here ration their insulin and skip life saving medication entirely because they can’t afford it. Think about that Chuck! 😡
We know Chuck. What are YOU doing about it other than tweeting?
Maybe if Dems hadn’t spent the past two decades focused on centrism while conceding to republicans and instead gave voters something to vote **for** we wouldn’t be in this mess. The establishment focus on corporations over people is destroying our country
This applies to the Senate also...
Ok Chuck - what’s the plan to fix it?
Schumer posts a completely inoffensive & true thing about the GOP's impact on Americans. Now I wait for a chorus of accounts to heckle him like undisciplined children.
