Apple Music rolls out album pinning feature for libraries

Apple Music added an option to pin favorite albums to the top of a user’s library. The feature lets listeners pin a few albums so they appear at the top of Library view for quick access. A listener described the change as “such a simple thing” and said it makes navigating a personal collection easier. The rollout appears to be a small interface update rather than a larger feature overhaul. Pinned albums remain separated from the regular library order, giving priority access to frequently played or favorite releases.

Like I don't know how to explain how disheartening this is. How much it makes being a musician absolutely suck in 2026. I truly want to take my music down from all streaming but then I basically disappear. I've already lost so much money and visibility not being on Spotify.

So next month I'm gonna finally change streaming services. Gonna go with either Apple Music or Youtube music. Apple pays artists more and is cheaper, but Youtube also comes with Youtube Red and has just an insane amount of music on it. Thoughts? Also need to find a way to transfer playlists lol

YouTube music also has a feature to transfer playlists over from Spotify. I've not tried it yet but we're making the move too and I saw the option

I didn't transfer any playlists, but I've been using YouTube Music for 3 years now. I like it a lot. It's especially nice for podcasts, imo. Also, YouTube Premium/Red is nice (no pre- and midroll ads).
