Arsenal have signed England midfielder Georgia Stanway on a free transfer after her four-year spell at Bayern Munich ended on July 3. The 27-year-old said she joined Arsenal to "win trophies and grow as a player" and called the club "massive" with an "incredible fanbase." Stanway won eight trophies during her time in the Bundesliga after leaving Manchester City in 2022 and previously collected a WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups with City. At international level Stanway has 33 goals in 93 England appearances and played an integral role in England's European Championship wins in 2022 and 2025. Arsenal coach Renee Slegers welcomed Stanway as a player who will "add a new dimension to our midfield" and said the club are looking forward to working with her in pre-season ahead of a big campaign.
