Lando Norris qualified sixth after narrowly surviving SQ2, with Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto split by the two Audis behind them. Isack Hadjar showed pace early on the medium tyre but dropped to eighth after switching to softs. Williams’ upgrade got both FW48s through the first qualifying round, while Carlos Sainz Jr. beat Oliver Bearman for the final SQ2 spot by 0.01 seconds. Sergio Perez qualified more than a second ahead of the Aston Martins but remained roughly seven tenths away from a chance to progress to the later session.
