Antonelli wins British GP sprint at Silverstone

Andrea Kimi Antonelli won the Silverstone sprint for Mercedes, holding off Lewis Hamilton, who finished second for Ferrari, with Lando Norris third. Antonelli pressured Hamilton for much of the 17-lap sprint while Max Verstappen dropped to sixth after a difficult race. The result leaves Antonelli leading the drivers championship by 43 points over George Russell. The sprint outcome sets Antonelli further ahead in the title fight and hands Mercedes momentum into the main British Grand Prix later in the weekend.
