so i went to see a Tom Petty cover band & it just so happened that Roanoke's 4th of July festival was happening at the same time 2 blocks over, so we watched fireworks while listening to American Girl, and i joked "this is what America is about" but, also, this does feel like what America is about

It’s time to make all fireworks illegal. They pollute the air/water/land. They literally frighten birds and other wildlife to death. They cause great distress to pets. And we have a great replacement for them in equally thrilling drone shows. That would be a really Happy 4th of July for all!
