Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, former Miami Heat teammates, were involved in a physical altercation at a gym inside Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas on Friday morning, the Heat confirmed to The Athletic. Multiple witnesses told reporters that Adebayo walked onto the courts, Herro said something to him, and Adebayo then approached Herro and punched him without hesitation; Herro’s AAU coach confronted Adebayo and security escorted Herro out while both players left on their own. The Las Vegas Police Department said officers were not called to the scene. The Bucks and Miami acknowledged awareness of the incident; the Heat declined to comment and Bucks coaches said they were unaware while a Bucks spokesperson said the team was aware. The episode followed a leak of screenshots that appeared to show direct messages from an account tied to Herro questioning Adebayo’s play after Herro was traded to the Bucks in the Giannis Antetokounmpo deal. Miami and Milwaukee later met in Summer League play the same day, with Miami winning 119-86; Herro attended that game, sat with new Bucks teammates, and declined to comment on the altercation. Adebayo did not attend the Summer League game.
