Must agree. Love this movie, but the moment Jimmy starts going off on how he can never marry because he is such a wandering he-man of ruggedness, you want to slap him. (Tho to be fair, Lisa in this film is too fabulous for *anyone.*)

I agree. However, that's what makes this movie important and impactful. Lisa starts the movie as an incomplete personality, desparate for approval from Jeffries, who's an incapacitated manchild. As the story evolves, Lisa acquires agency, turning into the real hero when she finds the wedding ring.

I love the way she says the word ornate - with a little subtle explosive T sound at the end. I think I read somewhere that #GraceKelly worked diligently to overcome her very strong Philadelphia accent. I think that’s why her movie voice is so elegant and clipped. #TCMParty #RearWindow.
