Digger trailer debuts, Tom Cruise headlines Iñárritu film
Tom Cruise is absolutely going for that Oscar by undertaking an astonishing physical transformation into...what he would look like in 2026 under normal circumstances. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSnE...
I look forward to someone explaining the movie magic of how a man in his 60s was, thanks to $750K of prosthetics that took 2 hours to apply, given a realistic belly paunch.
This is everything I feared an Inarritu-Cruise movie would be. I held out hope it was a weirdo one hander about a guy digging holes. Alas, it is definitely not that.
He makes my skin crawl.
I thought it was Dennis Quaid.
This is exactly the response I had watching Nicole Kidman in DESTROYER (which was an otherwise decent if unremarkable crime flick).
Dennis Quaid would have been a lot cheaper & required no make up or prosthetics
This looks like a banger.
Really rooting for this for all the obvious reasons. Not sure anyone under 35-40 is going to care though.
the mere idea of Tom Cruise in an Inarritu movie makes my stomach hurt
I have to say he is a very unconvincing wombat.
lmao, this looks awful. It’s like they said what if we did the Les Grossman bit but made central to a serious film.
Watch the first trailer for Alejandro G. Iñárritu's Digger, starring Tom Cruise, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed and Jesse Plemons 👀 In theaters October 2.

The Dig Dug adaptation we've all been waiting for
Tom Cruise bringing the same energy as he did for Les Grossman
Aw Yeah, This looks Promising. Cruise looks Legit Unrecognizable in That Makeup, the vibe looks so Chaotic and Fun, and Oh My God, That Poor Cat 😭
Don't sell to any major studio. Letterboxd will be functionally dead if it happens.
Dit ziet er dom uit, in a good way
It’s a comedy because the camera is often below the eyeline with a wide lens. And the people are yelling. Funny stuff.
Surrounding Cruise with Coens regulars and should-be Coens regulars is smart. Emits the same frantic topicality as Mickey 17, but I love that movie.
a falta de gays nas artes quer dizer que todo mundo quer fazer um novo doctor strangelove (1964) e ninguém quer fazer um novo bringing up baby (1938)
This is gonna be either the funniest or the most insufferable film of 2026. No middle ground possible.
NEW TOM CRUISE VILLIAN ROLE LETS FUCKING GOOOO GOD BLESS THE PRESIDENT OF THE MOVIES
Basically “Don’t Look Up” except vastly less preachy, vastly more batshit crazy and fun, and John Goodman giving his all for a Best Supporting Oscar bid.
This and Godzilla Minus Zero are my two most-anticipated films this year.
Somehow, DON'T LOOK UP (dir. Adam McKay, 2021) returned
Aquí está el Oscar competitivo de Cruise. Guardad el bluit.
Tom Cruise stars in the official trailer for #Digger. Alejandro G. Iñárritu's new film is in theaters on October 2.
Wait, The Digger is ... a climate movie?
Wes Anderson's Dr Strangelove via Cruise's ego
For a number of reasons I'm choosing to believe this is a sequel to TRUE STORIES (1986)
Great to finally see a return to nuanced political satire.
I am dying laughing at every shot. This looks like a delirious black comedy dream
This looks fucking nuts can't wait
This looks like an odd Coen Bros/Roy Anderrson mashup going by all the excessive makeup and dour faces. I like Inarritu though (apart from that last one he made which was awful) so I'll give it a chance. Huge Cruise fan but there's a slight whiff of give me an Oscar about this.
I don’t feel I am exaggerating too much when I say this looks like the worst movie ever made
This is all just leading towards the worst typo in Hollywood history.
This movie is going to make *five dollars* in theaters. I look forward to watching it on Amazon in December.
Tom Cruise needs to save the world in the first trailer for Alejandro G. Iñárritu's #Digger. Watch: thefilmstage.com/tom-cruise-a...
no matter what we might eventually find out about what cruise did in the church of scientology, at the end of the day this movie will be worse
God damn it, #NASCAR on Fox finally made a Digger movie when we were least expecting it. Wait, what do you mean that's not what it is?
I’ve never been more there.
