World champion Tadej Pogačar won Stage 10 of the 2026 Tour de France with a solo attack on Bastille Day, taking the summit finish at Le Lioran in the Massif Central. Pogačar crossed clear and increased his overall advantage, taking both the yellow jersey and the polka dot mountains jersey after the stage. Race splits after Stage 10 showed a 3 minute 36 second gap to the runner up, only five riders inside five minutes, and the 10th place rider already nearly 12 minutes behind. Data from the stage shows Pogačar closed a 47 second gap to Richard Carapaz in 2 minutes 20 seconds while simultaneously opening a 22 second gap to Jonas Vingegaard over the same interval. Pogačar acknowledged some booing from the crowd after the victory, saying the noise “adds power to my legs.” With Mads Pedersen holding the green sprint jersey and Juan Ayuso wearing the white best young rider jersey, Pogačar’s solo on Stage 10 further amplified his control of this Tour and left few riders within striking distance on general classification.
