Stede Bonnet was indeed areal dude who did actually run away from his rich life to become a pirate & did hang out with Blackbeard. He is the guy credited with "inventing" the whole walking of the plank thing. Drama queen, he was.

The OFMD character is heavily Rhys Darby-tized, but yep, he was real and was a protege of Blackbeard! William Goldman, legendary screenwriter, known for The Princess Bride and others, was fascinated by the Bonnet-Blackbeard connection too, and wrote a script about them that was never produced.

Also got into Black Flag Resynced. The original is one of my all-time favorite games, and boy HOWDY This remake did not disappoint! 😮‍💨 Don’t love the new AC engine. Absolutely HATE the menus. But everything else absolutely SLAPS! Which accounts for the 24 hrs played. 😅
