Reality Fracture preview panel debuts at MagicCon Amsterdam

At the Mana Stage of MagicCon Amsterdam Wizards ran a Reality Fracture preview panel hosted by broadcaster and Magic fan Jack Saunders, showing first-look cards including a Jace reveal tied to a Jace-helmed commander deck. The panel showed alternate-reality touches such as reused Mirrodin Pure promotional art that appears on a Platinum Angel variant in that Jace commander deck. Previews included multiple planeswalker variants, with two versions apiece of Ajani, Garruk and Chandra and a two-mana Ajani plus a six-mana Ajani spotted in the reveals. Panel coverage and attendee notes suggested Reality Fracture leans into alternate timelines and worlds, with some fans pointing to an underwater world and Mirrodin Pure as likely featured planes. Players at the event said several of the previewed cards will slot into existing formats and personal lists, with mentions of Amalia Benevides Aguirre competitive brawl builds and new Oathbreaker possibilities. The panel framed Reality Fracture as a multiverse-scale storyline driven by Jace Beleren and set up additional previews and coverage to follow after the MagicCon showing.

I’m trying to decide what What If, flap of the butterfly wings change would have the biggest impact on Magic story. I think it’s “what if Mishra and Urza had never found the Mightstone and Weakstone” or “what if Bolas died in the Elder Dragon Wars”, but I’m open to alternatives.
