San Diego Comic-Con revealed the 2026 Will Eisner Comic Award winners at its annual ceremony, publishing a complete list of winners. Absolute Batman Annual, the anthology DC Pride 2025 edited by Andrea Shea and Jillian Grant, and The Cartoonists Club were among the winners named. Mariko Tamaki and Nicole Goux won Best Publication for Teens for This Place Kills Me. Steve Lieber and Matt Fraction's Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen: Deluxe Edition was announced as an Eisner winner. Akira Toriyama and Jeff Smith were inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Awards Hall of Fame. Writer Jenny Blake Isabella delivered a memorable acceptance speech, saying "I want to write comics until I die...then my cats will eat me because that's the circle of life.", quoted during the ceremony.
