The GMTK 2026 "Count Down" game jam submissions are now live on itch.io, with dozens of short indie entries available to play. rawktron released Bit Rot, a puzzle game in which you repair a failing drive while your salvage code corrupts itself every eighth instruction and deletes itself as it runs. rawktron says the project grew from a desire to make a "zach-like" game and to use an ANSI rendering engine the developer had been experimenting with. Perfect Pixel published Countdown by Francis Bean, a short entry that frames the choice as whether you will save the world or save yourself. munji, Luisjakg, and deRedBlob uploaded Click Clock, billed as the ultimate Clock Tower Defense. Multiple solo and small-team developers posted four-day and last-minute entries across genres, and the submissions are available now on itch.io for players to try.
