Young Bucks defeat Death Riders at AEW Redemption

At AEW Redemption 2026 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Matt Jackson pinned Jon Moxley as The Young Bucks defeated the Death Riders in a chaotic main event. The tag fell apart after weeks of Moxley trying to harden Will Ospreay under the Death Riders banner; Ospreay repeatedly hesitated to use a weapon and ultimately wrestled the chair away from Moxley, a distraction that cost the team the match. Early in the bout Nick Jackson suffered a kayfabe injury after a headbutt with Ospreay, and ringside interference from Marina Shafir escalated the chaos before Matt accidentally dropped her with a superkick. Inside the ring a miscommunication saw Ospreay accidentally strike Moxley, the Bucks hit a BTE Trigger, and Ospreay broke up a pin with a Hidden Blade. Moxley later delivered two Paradigm Shifts and a Death Rider to Nick, knocked down the referee, and grabbed a steel chair before Ospreay intervened and removed the weapon; Nick recovered to superkick Ospreay and the Bucks hit another BTE Trigger, with Matt covering Moxley for the three-count. The implosion has title implications: Ospreay, as the 2026 Owen Cup winner, is already guaranteed a World Championship match against Kenny Omega at All In, and his refusal to embrace Moxley’s tactics echoes existing trust issues with Omega. Earlier on the card, The Conglomeration retained the AEW Trios Titles and Speedball Mike Bailey won a Six-Way Ladder match to claim an International Championship opportunity.
