Silent Hill: Townfall preview, first person horror set in 1996 Scotland
Silent Hill: Townfall is the most hyped I've been for a game in the last 5 years.
I'm really worried that it won't lean into the Scotland element as much as it could. The accents in the trailers so far haven't inspired much confidence, especially following Still Wakes The Deep.
(now without a horrific typo goddam auto correct)
Should really finish my playthrough of the SH2 remake, so I have at least finished one game in the series.
Townfall was the reveal in the Transmission that I was most hyped about, I'm so excited that it's happening
Ready yourselves, Silent Hill fans - Silent Hill: Townfall wants to "massively subvert" your expectations, and after playing several hours I'm hugely excited. Plus, producer Motoi Okamoto on mixing a "core identity" with "more experimental" gameplay: www.eurogamer.net/silent-hill-...
Very exciting read! Really looking forward to this one:
said it before and happy to say it again: going anthology is the best approach for silent hill as a franchise. yes, Silent Hill f had some serious combat issues, but it was one of the most affecting horror games i've ever played. genuinely renewed my interest in the whole franchise, it felt *fresh*
I'M SO EXCITED I CANNOT WAIT
Embargo is up! I can now reveal that the reason I was in Los Angeles was for a special hands on preview of SILENT HILL: TOWNFALL, and let me tell you gang, September cannot come quickly enough
I’ve been a SILENT HILL obsessive since I was way too young to be watching my dad play the original, so this was a real full circle moment and a career high I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to top. Big ups to @horrorgirlprobs.bsky.social for making this happen ❤️
Never a better person to report on this one!
