The Angels’ early deadline-day trade of José Soriano to Toronto opened a perceived window for teams chasing multi-year starters, with contenders such as the Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox, Brewers and Guardians still pursuing rotation help. The Rockies are expected to make at least two trades; righty reliever Antonio Senzatela is viewed as almost certain to move after posting a 3.61 ERA in 52 1/3 innings and averaging a 97 mph fastball, placing him near the 87th percentile. The Rangers remain in full sell mode, with virtually everyone on the roster in play and front office sources signaling Chris Young could flip short-term assets such as MacKenzie Gore for longer-controlled pitching. Several established relievers and outfielders have already been dealt or designated available, with Freddy Peralta, Huascar Brazobán, A.J. Minter and Brooks Raley gone and players including Clay Holmes, Luke Weaver, Luis Robert Jr. and Tyrone Taylor still listed as for sale. Expect more movement before the 6 p.m. ET deadline as contenders and sellers finalize last-minute deals.

I know there's been a lot of Discourse about MLB not hyping up WPBL and whatever and sure yeah there's more that can be done there but also like there is no partnership between MLB and WPBL the way there is one between MLB and AUSL. so that's a key thing.

The first discussion should be the choice to limit the US audience for the opening weekend games to ESPN Select subscribers rather than to have them available for free on YouTube like they did for all other countries.

I also question the prep. They didn't announce the TV deal until, what, a day or two before Opening Day? And I still can't get a freaking Firebells hat. Plus I keep hearing that the scoreboards aren't working.
