Angel Genao goes 4-for-4 in MLB debut, drives in go-ahead run

Angel Genao went 4-for-4 in his Major League debut for the Cleveland Guardians and delivered a go-ahead single in the seventh inning that gave Cleveland a 5-4 lead. Genao recorded hits in each of his first three at bats and his fourth hit produced the go-ahead RBI. He is the first player in Cleveland franchise history to collect four hits in his MLB debut and the 22nd player since 1900 with four or more hits in a debut; he is the second player this year to do so after Kevin McGonigle. Cleveland recalled Genao from Triple-A Columbus and assigned him number 17. The club cleared a roster spot by designating Gabriel Arias for assignment to make room for Genao.
