Hunter Biden told the BBC that former President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has spread into his bones and other parts of the body and is causing “very painful” and “very debilitating” symptoms. Hunter grew emotional in the late Friday interview as he called the diagnosis “really sad to watch” and said he wishes his father would complain more because “it’s not good.” Joe Biden, 83, disclosed the prostate cancer diagnosis in May 2025, less than four months after leaving the White House. Hunter said his father remains publicly active, speaking about issues that matter to him, and will publish a memoir titled Promise Me, America after the midterm elections. Hunter described the diagnosis as taking a heavy toll on the family while emphasizing that Biden continues to engage in public life despite the pain.
