Jac Caglianone hit a two-run homer off Tarik Skubal during Skubal's Dodger Stadium debut on Monday, Aug. 10, crushing an 0-2 pitch with an exit velocity reported at 110.8 mph. Skubal worked five innings, struck out six, threw 95 pitches (66 for strikes) and allowed four hits and three earned runs. The Dodgers rallied for three runs in the sixth inning and edged Kansas City 6-5. Skubal said he competed well and credited the offense, defense and bullpen for a team win despite feeling he fell short of his standard. Los Angeles has lost 10 of its last 14 games, a skid the club is trying to shake as it moves toward the postseason.
